The origins of Projectes Territorials del Bages as a company go back to 2002, based on an initiative from Manresa City Council, Caixa Manresa and a group of important business people in the county.

The initial basis for PTB, however, began to be laid based on studies that won the Caixa Manresa Foundation award:“Arquitectura territorial, Medi Natural i Desenvolupament al Pla de Bages” (1996) (Regional architecture, environment and development in Pla de Bages) and “Possibilitats de desenvolupament industrial sostenible al Bages” (1999) (Possibilities of sustainable industrial development in Bages). Informal discussions then began, providing an initial impulse for the creation of PTB.
 

The main aim of Projectes Territorials del Bages is to invest in projects intended to boost the economic and social development of Pla de Bages that allow harmonious development respecting the region; make the county an attractive location for innovative and technologically advanced companies; require a certain volume of investment and are viable from a financial point of view.
 

Along these lines, investment comes through carrying out property development, services or technology schemes, large leisure or tourism schemes or urban renewal schemes.
