The aim for Parc Central – the Central Catalonia Technology Park is that it should become a leader in materials technology and environmental technology, putting the region at the forefront in terms of research, development and innovation (R+D+I).
 

The Park is also a strategic driving force for the region and a crucial element in the economic infrastructure of Central Catalonia. The progress already made by the scheme, its current position and its immediate prospects clearly show that the challenge has been a worthwhile one.
 

The initiative is based, firstly, on the existence of a strong business fabric in the fields of specialisation we have mentioned. These are sectors immersed in far-reaching transformation processes which means that, now more than ever, they require powerful tools to make these changes successfully.
